This allows the cable to pass through narrow spaces such as wheels, seat posts, gate posts and more. INTUITIVE AND VERSATILE DESIGN. Unlike most security cables, the male end of the cable is the same diameter as the cable itself – 10mm. This allows the cable to pass through narrow spaces such as wheels, seat posts, gate posts and more. Loosen and remove the clamping screw. Ensure you do not misplace the nut fastener that secures the tightens the screw.

Apply one or more of the removable rubber liners around the post, depending on the frame post diameter.

Fit the bracket around the post.

We ordered this cable lock set to chain our delivery drop box to a fence. The lock was very simple to operate. The instructions were fairly straightforward. My husband found the lock to be a little bit stiff but he eventually got the programming mechanism to operate properly. He said to keep in mind that the cable is only about 2 ft long so the bike/item would have to be strapped close to pole/fence. However, that keeps the cable very light and portable. He found the numbers easy to read and rotate which is great for his poor vision. For a few bucks it'll do the job and it should deter the bad guys.

The combination lock was very easy to set. The directions were good and the whole process took about a minute for me to set the numbers. I prefer the convenience of a combination lock over a key lock, and especially like when I can set my own numbers, so I appreciate those features. At two feet long, the cable is short, but it is perfect for certain applications. I was looking for a bike lock that is quick and easy to use, for those times when I am on a ride and make a rest stop or stop at a shop and just want to run in real quick but want to make sure my bike is secure. I don’t think it is meant for lengthy or overnight stays where I would want a heavier lock and a longer cable to weave through the bicycle body and tires. I have never seen a hinged lock head like this one has and I think it is a very helpful feature insofar as it allows you to more easily thread it through awkward angles. Although it comes with a mounting bracket, which seems like a nice idea, I did not use the bracket as the small lockset fits easily into my bike bag. This works well for my intended use.

I got this bike number lock and I'm very happy with it.
It's strong enough to prevent theft and easy to open with the combination. The size is perfect for my bike and it doesn't take up much space. The plastic coating protects it from rusting and also prevents scratches on my bike frame.
I would recommend this bike lock to anyone who needs a convenient way to secure their bike.

I followed the instructions to open the lock using the factory code 0000. As you can see from the photo, what the directions describe as the "male end" of the lock did not come out completely. It is stuck and one of the dials is jammed. I do not recommend this product.
